Job Purpose
The Climate Tribe is seeking a talented bilingual Cinematographer with expertise in both filming and post-production. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to shoot films, podcasts, and event coverage, with a deep understanding of lighting, camera composition, visual storytelling, and editing.
This role requires technical proficiency, creative intuition, and strong collaboration skills to help translate The Climate Tribe’s mission into powerful visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality cinematic footage for films, podcasts, community events, and branded projects.
- Design and execute effective lighting setups for both indoor and outdoor shoots.
- Edit footage to craft compelling narratives that align with project objectives and brand tone.
- Work closely with the team to shape the creative direction of each project.
- Contribute ideas during pre-production and assist in translating scripts and treatments into visual plans.
- Participate in location scouting, shot listing, and storyboarding to ensure visual consistency and efficiency during shoots.
- Prepare and test all technical equipment before filming to prevent delays or issues on set.
- Maintain camera, lighting, and sound gear in optimal working condition.
- Stay current with new filming techniques, post-production tools, and cinematic trends.
- Experiment with creative framing, lighting, and editing approaches that elevate The Climate Tribe’s content.
- Collaborate with internal departments and freelancers, ensuring smooth workflow from production to delivery.
- Represent The Climate Tribe’s visual identity with professionalism and attention to detail on every project.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of camera systems, lenses, lighting setups, and production gear.

Ability to craft strong compositions and convey stories through cinematography.

Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and/or Final Cut Pro — with experience in sound editing, transitions, and colour grading.

Ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot camera and lighting systems.

Highly organised with excellent file management and workflow discipline.

Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

At least 5 years’ experience in cinematography, videography, or related production fields.

Proficient in Google Workspace.

Positive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.

Fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively and review content in both languages.
